Ms. Elizabeth Te is currently Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. of the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN.
Ms. Te joined the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines in 1997, and has since served in various capacities in the Department’s Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs, Office of Policy Planning and Coordination, Office of United Nations and other International Organizations, and Office of European Affairs.
She also served previously in the Philippine Embassy in Beijing, the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to the International Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Philippine Embassy and Permanent Mission to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna, Austria. She joined the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN in September 2020 as its Deputy Permanent Representative.
Prior to her work in the DFA, she also served as Foreign Affairs Research Specialist in the Foreign Service Institute, and as National Security Specialist in the National Security Council Secretariat.
Ms. Te obtained her Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of the Philippines (Diliman campus) in 1993, and earned another Master of Arts in Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2000 from Monash University in Australia.
