Ambassador Heng Sarith started his career as a Diplomat since 2006. He served as Second Secretary of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to the Republic of Indonesia and Permanent Mission of Cambodia to ASEAN from 2012-2015. Prior to his appointment as Permanent Representative of Cambodia, He had worked as the Deputy Director-General of the General Department of ASEAN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation from 2018-2022.
He had also worked as a Research Fellow at Cambodia Institute for Strategic Studies (CISS) and Cambodian Institute for Peace and Cooperation (CICP) from 2016-2017. He got his Master Degree on Public Policy in September 2010 from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan.
He was awarded with Royal Order of Monisaraphon Chavalier in 2019.
He is married with three children.
